This was based off the 1951 Donald Duck cartoon, Out of Scale.
The engine featured in this book is a 4-4-0 American type steam locomotive. Possibly resembling Central pacific #173. In the short Out of scale itself, the engine bore the number 2 & it was actually Casey Jones' No. 2 engine from the previous short The Brave Engineer.
